This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue
Origin's multiple Blue Moon lander product lines. To further Blue Origin's
mission of having millions of people living and working in space, we are
building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from
Earth to the lunar surface.
As part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists, technicians, and
engineers, you will perform as a specialist Systems Engineer (SE) in the
field of micrometeoroids and orbital debris (MMOD). The MMOD SE plays a
critical role in defining and maturing shielding for Blue Origin's lunar
landers through their design and verification life cycle. Your focus will be
on MMOD analysis, hyper-velocity ballistic test development, and flight
hardware definition. The Structures and Mechanisms subsystem is a
hardware-delivery-focused subsystem, and the SE is expected to have relevant
testing and hardware experience. Additionally, with Blue Origin's vision
to enable crew exploration of the Moon, subsystem safety assessment is
paramount and will be a key aspect of the SE role given its systemic reach and
