Description

Job Purpose: Compile, process, and maintain patient's health information in a manner consistent with medical, administrative, ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements of the practice in a timely manner. The Electronic Medical Records Technician responsibilities are in accordance with the Health Information Management procedures as it pertains to the Chart Prep, Radiology Pathology Lab (RPL), and Office Support teams. This position is a full-time role (40 hours per week) with the potential to work remotely. We have an opening on the RPL team.
The starting rate of pay for this position is between $19.03 - $20.12/hour. Where an applicant may fall on the salary range will vary based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to experience and education. In addition to this base salary, employees may be eligible for a bonus based on completing company, department and individual goals. This position would be eligible for medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(K) with company match and profit sharing, generous paid days off, and paid parental leave.

Electronic Medical Record Technician's (EMRT) perform a variety of tasks in support of physicians, staff, and other health professionals. These tasks include but are not limited to:
Scan/upload documents and results into EHR system.
Answer patient and staff calls and emails.
Obtain necessary documents from outside sources using various EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems.
Process chart requests from other departments within the organization.
EMRT RPL Team Key Responsibilities:
Creation of patient charts
Recognize and report chart concerns/errors
Data Entry of Test Results
Daily Census and Provider Order Reports
Completion of Provider orders
Run Daily
Document report updates through the electronic health records system
Completion of Provider orders
Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and practice regulation
Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

Education and/or Experience:Minimum High School Diploma or GED. One to two years of medical experience is preferred.
