Within our software lab in Delft, the Netherlands, we currently have a vacancy for an experienced zSystem Security Software Test Engineer (SYSPRO plus)

Your Role and Responsibilities
As a tester/system programmer you will be part of our quality assurance team that executes the tasks required to fully support the development, and perform the testing of our IBM security software products to ensure they function according to specifications, client requirements and also meet the business requirements.
The test activities cover all aspects of the product testing including system verification and functional tests.
The tester/system programmer is working closely together with the developer and in colloquy with the tester the developer will develop test scenarios and the tester will create useful test data.
As a system software tester you must gain an in-depth knowledge of the specific function(s) of the products and be able to define and build the required test data and, in cooperation with the developer, build and execute test cases.
In addition you must have a good understanding of the z/OS platform.
Knowledge of RACF is mandatory, knowledge of ACF2 and Top/Secret is also considered to be a very useful additional skill.
Knowledge of the z/VM platform is an additional advantage.
As we support multiple sub-systems like CICS, DB2, IMS, MQ, and some basic knowledge of one or more of these sub-systems is also required.
You have hands on experience with system tools like SDSF and SMP/E and you are experienced in writing JCL and REXX.
TSO/E and ISPF does not have any secret left for you.
The candidate must be familiar with software testing methodologies, including tools and techniques, and must be able to set up (or help set up) multiple test environments supporting different test cases.
Candidate has good analytic abilities and is able to investigate problems and solve defects, some of them uncovered during testing.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Is a self-motivated individual, with a minimum of five years’ experience as a z/OS system programmer, and is comfortable working with ambiguity in a matrix oriented, fast paced environment.
- You have or must be willing to gain knowledge of the z platform and relevant sub-systems from a security point of view.
- Experienced with z/OS, TSO/E, ISPF, SDSF, SMP/E
- Some experience with the IBM Workload Scheduler
- Knowledge of RACF
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Knowledge of either ACF2 and/or Top Secret is considered to be a plus
- Sub-system knowledge of one or more sub-systems like: DB2, CICS, IMS and/or MQ
- Some experience with the zSecure software suite
