Title: Software Development Engineer II
Job Site: New York, NY (Remote Anywhere in the United States)

Duties: Wheels Up Partners LLC (remote position) seeks a Software Development Engineer II responsible for leading a massive transformational effort in building Wheels Up platform by leveraging distributed and cloud technologies including but not limited to ActiveMQ, Kafka, Elastic Cloud Storage, Service Mesh, private and hybrid clouds to design, develop, and coordinate the implementation of autonomous capabilities of the platform. Utilizing proprietary features including Wheels Up network and integrated Remote Access controllers along with open-source technologies such as Elasticsearch, Datadog, Docker, Kubernetes, NGINX, Artifactory, Ansible, Harbor, Redis and SonarQube. Developing software solutions to complex technical issues concerning automated configuration deployment and management. Developing and delivering innovative system standards and system assets based on architectural components supported by the Wheels Up platform. Utilizing development strategies including Java Spring-boot, JQuery, JSON, Python, React-Redux, and Powershell in cross functional collaboration with software engineers, platform developers, and internal teams to define and execute the development of the Wheels Up platform. Developing feature enhancements, create comprehensive design specifications, and coordinate complex data integrations for flight reservation, fleet management, membership management and DevOps experience aspects of the Wheel Up platform. Developing software utilizing IntelliJ and GitLab version-control systems to analyze; implementing and tracking changes in source code throughout the system software development &cycle (SDLC).

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related and two (2) years' experience as Technology Architect or in a related position. Experience must include designing REST-based APIs to expose and consume services; designing and building high-performance systems with scalability, availability, fault-tolerance, monitoring, and serviceability; developing RESTFul webservices that leverage various relational and non-relational data; utilizing microservices architecture, cloud-native development practices, patterns, and technologies; using distributed system concepts, operating systems, data structures, and algorithms using relational database systems, NoSQL systems, messaging systems. This position is fully remote and can be performed anywhere within the United States.

Hours: 40 hours per week, full-time
Salary: $95,493.00 - $166,842.00 / year
