What's the role?
The Regional Lean Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, and harmonization of LEAN in the North American region. This position drives change across the organization by developing, managing, and leading LEAN projects.

  What does the role involve?

Develop and manage a Regional Logistics Lean program (across all departments in organization)
Develop and align LEAN initiatives/Roadmaps with line Management; ensure the implementation of agreed targets and roadmaps according to LEAN program
Monitor, track, and audit process and progress of LEAN in the Supply Chain in order to continuously improve processes and performance
Identify cross department (Logistics, Finance, Sales, Human Resources, Marketing) topics to improve overall supply chain and conduct improvement projects accordingly (facilitate workshops with relevant stakeholders)
Manage and lead LEAN projects along the Value Chain (focus on cross functional Value Stream projects) with strong business impacts on global level (KPI improvements)
Define best-practices and process standards, develop new LEAN tools, and trigger implementation
Contribute to the continuous review and improvement of the Value-Added System by developing and searching for new tools, methods, and standards
Qualify, enable, and coach the organization to drive LEAN; develop, maintain, and conduct training programs and knowledge management (MyKL) to develop skills and facilitate experience
Set a focus on promoting a LEAN mind-set and empowering project members to take over responsibility and consequently drive self-reliant LEAN projects
Cooperate with all stakeholders (e.g. other plants, logistics, sourcing, BU, MO, suppliers) and strive for the best solution for the Hilti value chain
Actively support new behavior, to drive LEAN to the next level - be a change agent and coach
Contribute to periodical LEAN exchange (intern, extern), LEAN Summit, and LEAN Award
Additional duties as assigned

  What you need is:

Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree in Engineering or Business Administration with an International focus preferred
Lean Six Sigma certification preferred
Minimum 5 years of supply chain work experience required; broad experience in LEAN in the supply chain and solid, sound understanding of LEAN concepts
Experience in LEAN projects in Logistics, Manufacturing, and indirect areas; leadership experience (line or project) and track record in implementing LEAN in early organizational maturity
Experience preparing content, teaching, coaching, and mentoring on LEAN tools
Mature leadership skills in an international environment; change management expertise
Excellent networking, interpersonal, organization, and communication skills required
Sound project and business process management skills
Structured and well organized with analytical skills and pragmatic solutions
High social skills and emotional intelligence; team player able to interact at all levels of the organization and across diverse functions and cultural environments
Ability to work in a matrix organization
Problem solving attitude, results oriented, willingness to change, innovative, proactive, self-starter

Fluency in English required; additional languages preferred
Up to 20% travel required
