Job Description

Choices for Community Living (CCL) is seeking dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support adults with developmental disabilities in Harrington, DE. As a DSP, you will assist individuals in a variety of settings, including community environments, family homes, and individual residences.

• Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal care.

• Administer medication as needed.

• Provide support with meals and dietary needs.

• Promote community inclusion by engaging individuals in social activities.

• Maintain accurate documentation of daily activities and progress.

• A caring and nurturing demeanor.

• A genuine desire to help others and make a difference in their lives.

• Valid DE Driver’s License with a clean driving record.

• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

• Physical ability to lift, transfer, and assist individuals.

• Ability to walk, climb, bend, reach, kneel, squat, and twist as part of the job duties.

• Hours depend on the position and site assignment.

• Flexible shifts: 12-hour shifts, 8-hour shifts, evening shifts, on-call, and weekends as needed.

• Must have a valid driver’s license with 5 or fewer points and a clean driving record, with no DUI or drug-related convictions.

• Must pass a criminal background check, physical exam, and drug screening.

• High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred).

• 1 year of direct support experience (Preferred).

• 401(k) plan.
