Assistant Professor - Nursing - The Associate Degree Nursing Program at SUNY Broome offers both a day option and an evening-weekend option for working students. Primary responsibilities for nursing faculty include, but are not limited to didactic, skills laboratory, and clinical instruction, curriculum development, committee assignments for the program and college, and ensuring achievement of program outcomes. Continuing growth of the program will focus on an innovative concept-based curriculum, integration of simulation learning experiences for all program levels, and renovated skills lab. Dynamic partnerships with community healthcare agencies help meet the growing demand for RNs in the local community. <P> Requirements: <LI> Master's degree in Nursing required (current enrollment in a nursing master's degree program will be considered). <LI> Three (3) years of teaching experience or appropriate combination of teaching, relevant work experience, or scholarly activity required. <LI> Two (2) years of hospital-based medical/surgical experience desired. Current experience in Medical-Surgical nursing or specialty areas including Maternal-Newborn nursing or Child Health highly desired. <LI> Ability to teach evening class and every other weekend clinical preferred. <LI> The successful candidate will demonstrate strength in teaching, learner engagement, student support, teamwork, professional development, and the ability to foster collaboration within the division, College, and community. <LI> Applicants should be prepared to provide sound direction and focused leadership in a learner-centered environment and have a strong commitment to the community college mission. <P> Additional Information: <LI> The minimum annual salary for this position is $55,225. Education and experience will be taken into consideration in determining the hiring salary.
