A day in the life:
- Use your Refrigeration skills and experience to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain small to large sized/complex refrigeration systems and associated control systems
- Provide technical and supervisory assistance to all Building Service/Refrigeration Technicians, ensuring that proper repair and maintenance procedures are utilized
- Diagnose causes of breakdowns, test parts with appropriate instruments, disassemble and assemble parts, and make necessary repairs to refrigeration equipment and associated components (primary areas of expertise include coolers, freezers, ice machines, and rack systems)
- Assist the Service Sales personnel with major estimates for equipment repair and replacements; provide technical assistance to the Service Sales Personnel in preparing proposals for service agreements
You should have:
- In-depth knowledge of Refrigeration products/systems (direct industry experience required) or possess an Associate's degree, equivalent from two-year college or technical school with a certificate in refrigeration, or possess completion certificate from a sponsored apprenticeship program (preferred, not required)
- Some HVAC background (preferred, not required)
- Possess knowledge of current Building Codes, ASHRAE standards and OSHA safety regulations.
- Possess a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
- Possess an EPA-608 Universal certification upon their first date of employment
- Leadership skills: ability to develop high performing teams through coaching, mentoring, recruiting, and managing performance
