NY1494631 Production Associate. Full time, Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. 30 minute unpaid lunch break. two paid 15-minute breaks during the workday. The Production Associate plays a crucial role in supporting the production process and assists the Production Manager in various tasks related to material handling, cutting, and shipment preparation. This position requires physical strength, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: Material Handling: Assist in loading and unloading raw materials for production, ensuring materials are properly staged and organized for production runs. Material Cutting: Collaborate with the production team to cut raw materials accurately according to specified measurements, maintaining precision and minimizing waste. Goods Movement: Safely transport unfinished and finished goods within the facility using appropriate equipment and techniques. This includes lifting heavy items, bending, and moving pallets. Heavy Lifting: Capable of lifting and carrying loads weighing upward of 100 pounds safely, using proper lifting techniques. Shipment Preparation: Assist in preparing products for shipment by boxing, taping, wrapping pallets, and ensuring all items are properly labeled and documented. Quality Control: Conduct visual inspections of materials and products to identify any defects or discrepancies, reporting findings to the Production Manager. Inventory Management: Help maintain accurate inventory records, including tracking stock levels and reporting shortages to the Production Manager. Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and your colleagues. Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Production Manager and other team members to ensure smooth operations, meet production goals, and maintain a clean and organized workspace. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Physical strength and the ability to lift heavy objects (100+ pounds) safely. Flexibility to bend down and stand up frequently during the workday. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on product quality. Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations. Ability to operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack) is a plus. Willingness to work in a fast-paced production environment. Pay: $16.00-$17.00/hour. Benefits: After a 6-month probationary period, employees will receive 1 week of paid vacation. Starting from the first anniversary date, employees will receive 2 weeks of paid vacation annually.
