Gallatin College seeks qualified individuals to provide non-tenurable level instruction and/or related functions.

Duties and Responsibilities
Gallatin College seeks course instructors to teach in Bozeman at the “Gallatin College East” location in one or more of the following specialty areas:

  • CompTIA A+
  • Enterprise Architecture
  • LAN/WAN Technologies
  • Linux+
  • MCSA
  • Microsoft/Linux/IOS
  • Network Engineering
  • Project Management
  • Routing and Switching CCNA 1 and 2
  • Security+
  • Virtualization
Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
  1. Academic degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
  2. Demonstrated experience working with and engaging diverse students and colleagues within and outside the department
Preferred Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology
  2. Three or more years of industry experience
  3. Prior teaching experience
  4. Understanding of the two-year college mission
  5. Demonstrated commitment to student, faculty, and staff diversity

The Program
This Certificate of Applied Science in Network Technology will introduce students to the design, implementation, and management of linked systems of computers, and peripherals, to maximize efficiency and productivity, and prepare individuals to function as network generalist. Students will learn to work on computer hardware, software and applications; local area (LAN) and wide area (WAN) networking; principles of information systems security; disk space and traffic load monitoring; data backup; resource allocation; and setup and takedown procedures. The final goal of this program is to prepare students to sit for the CompTIA A+ certification test, the CompTIA Network + certification, the Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician, and/or the Microsoft Technology Associate.
