Director of Creative Content, Men's Basketball

The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a qualified Director of Creative Content reporting directly to the Head Men's Basketball Coach. This position is responsible for assisting with the development, management, and promotion of Pitt Men’s Basketball through social media accounts; working closely with Associate AD of Strategic Communications on developing and implementing the social media plan for the program; coordinating with Pitt Studios on in-game video production; assisting with the marketing of the Men’s Basketball program; and developing and coordinating a plan, including presentations, for the Men’s Basketball recruiting initiatives; recruit, lead, and develop a student intern program to assist with creative content. The individual also will assist with all campus recruiting activities for Men’s Basketball and perform other duties as assigned by the Men’s Basketball Coaching Staff.

Job Summary

Assists with developing, implementing, and management of an overall social media plan for recruitment and promotion of Department of Athletics. Develops, collaborates on, and coordinates video productions, creative content, and social media graphics. Assists with all on-campus recruiting efforts.

Essential Functions 

Work closely with the coaching staff as well as Strategic Communications on developing and implementing a social media plan for Men’s Basketball including a plan to utilize various social media outlets advantageously to the recruiting efforts of the program. This includes overall program brand on social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter, and Tiktok). Responsible for designing and developing creative content for the Pitt Men’s Basketball program in conjunction with the recruiting and coaching staff. Coordinating with Pitt Studios on in-game video production efforts to promote the Pitt Men’s Basketball program and the Pitt brand. The content produced will also be used in advertising campaigns (commercials, website, social media, etc.). Must generate new and creative ideas while staying consistent with the Pitt Men’s Basketball brand. Create graphics to enhance the program’s recruiting efforts and overall brand development on all platforms. Develop visual and creative materials and content for all recruiting activities, including home recruiting presentations. Other duties as assigned by the Head Men’s Basketball Coach or Assistant Coaches.

Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. May need to lift equipment, mail, or supplies up to 50 pounds.
