Position: Behavioral Health Provider II
Location: Cullowhee, Franklin, telehealth and outreach in the 8 western NC counties
Compensation: $45,000 - $55,000 depending on experience
Hours: 30-40 hours per week, flexible around patient/provider needs

Organization Description:
Vecinos is a non-profit, 501(c)3 Free Clinic that provides bilingual integrated primary and behavioral health care, mobile clinic services, health education, and case management to uninsured, low-income adults in the far-western NC counties.
Mission: Our mission is to provide culturally-appropriate health and wellness services for the uninsured Latinx community.
Purpose:
The Behavioral Health Provider II is fully licensed and works under direct supervision of the Behavioral Health Director, providing behavioral health therapy to patients and collaborating to support all behavioral health services within the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Clinical
- Perform behavioral health screenings and assessments
- Develop and implement person-centered plans and appropriate documentation in EHR
- Incorporation of advanced trainings into therapy sessions, such as Grief/Loss, LCAS, EMDR
- Maintain caseload and provide individual and group therapy services
- Provide behavioral health services as needed in all Vecinos service areas (clinic setting, mobile clinic, community outreach and telehealth)
- Provide ongoing follow-up care, case management, and referrals as appropriate
- Administration
- Assist with program development, including community needs assessments, literature review, and research and implementation of evidence based practices
- Support in the completion of required data and grant reporting
- Active engagement with the EHR in regards to behavioral health patient charts (scheduling, documentation, diagnoses and coding)
- Assure case management is happening in a timely manner
- Collaboration
- Assist the Behavioral Health Director in team collaboration
- Collaborate care with psychologist, psychiatrist, and medical team as needed
- Collaborate with outreach team to coordinate patient services
- Provide care under the model of integrated care alongside the comprehensive clinical team, including clinicians and clinical support staff as well as the outreach team
- Provide internal trainings and continuing education presentations to Vecinos team to promote integrated wrap-around enabling services within the clinical and outreach teams
- Precept and supervise volunteers and interns (BSW and MSW)
- Assist in building professional/medical connections and expanding/maintaining care network for patients in Western NC
Required Qualifications
- Licensed as a behavioral health therapist (LCSW, LPC) in North Carolina
- Minimum 2 years experience as a behavioral health provider in an outpatient setting or other relevant experience
- Native, or near-native English and Spanish fluency with excellent written and oral communication skills
- Able to work effectively as a team member and work closely with behavioral health staff, nurses, physicians, outreach staff, and other partners
- Maintain Licensure and credential requirements for the state of North Carolina
- Cultural sensitivity, a caring and confident demeanor, flexibility, dependability, excellent written and verbal communication skills, high energy-level, willingness to work in a nontraditional/non-clinical setting, a professional attitude, desire to serve uninsured/underserved populations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with the under and uninsured population of WNC
- Working knowledge of farmworker-specific behavioral health issues
- Advanced trainings: Grief/Loss, LCAS, EMDR
- Previous case management experience
