Order#: NY1494174 Assistant Foreman Job Description The ideal candidate will be a jack of all trades involved in everything including installing outdoor LED signs, working and managing all activities in our workshop, configuring and installing interactive and non-interactive displays, computers, tablets, etc. Must be capable of collaborating with the team, setting priorities, multi-tasking to handle a variety of projects, and handling technical support. In addition, handling event rentals, traveling for on-site support and much more! This individual will need to come up to speed quickly, making an immediate impact. Training will be provided. Responsibilities: Responsible for assisting the Digital Signage Engineer with digital signage projects, process flow, documentation and on-going maintenance and support of new/current customers. Workshop activities include: Working with wood, metal and plastic Ability to use a compound miter saw and other tools Keeping tools and workshop equipment organized Soldering (Welding would be a plus) Staging display enclosures readying for installation Identifying and inventorying new equipment; documenting serial numbers, matching model numbers and confirming all items are accounted for Broaden the workshop capabilities to expand our hardware portfolio Installation And System Staging: QA all upcoming projects via checklist (Testing the performance of the software/ media player/ and all other components Install, maintain, troubleshoot, diagnose and coordinate the usage of, but not limited to: Indoor and Outdoor Digital Signage. Follow document instructions on installing and configuring software on a variety of media players: Windows, Android, and Linux Connecting cables, wires, etc. (Electrical skills and knowledge a plus) Mounting systems on walls: drilling into drywall, tile, cement, or metal Outdoor LED includes using excavation equipment, telehandler, rebar work, and pouring cement Tech Support: Answer phone calls, email messages, and voicemail messages presented to the Support Team on a daily basis. Teaching, or instructing users regarding software or hardware functionality, and communicating policy Remote support, diagnostics and repair with the use of TeamViewer and digital signage software; If unable to resolve remotely, diagnose and repair on-site Travel to locations (company vehicle provided) to provide on-site diagnostics and support Record user, problem, additonal information and record hours in the ticket system Verifies with customer that suggested solutions effectively resolve issues through verbal or email follow-up Qualifications: 3-5 years' work experience (preferred) High School graduate, a certificate in trade school or equivalent work experience Excellent communication skills Must be able to effectively communicate (oral and written) with all employees, contractors and vendors. Proven ability to work under pressure and interface with senior management. Desire to continue to learn new technologies around displays, AV distribution, Outdoor LED, and Digital Signage Ability to prioritize, multitask, and is EXTREMELY organized! Deadline and detail-oriented Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills Motivated and Positive thinker Experience with troubleshooting PCs & Hardware Valid Driver's License and ability to drive frequently as needed
