JOB REQUIREMENTS: POSITION SUMMARY Fincantieri Marinette Marine, a
Fincantieri Marine Group Company, is a progressive shipyard specializing
in building ships for the United States Navy. We currently have an
opportunity for a Cybersecurity Intern at our Marinette, Wisconsin
location. The Cybersecurity Intern will receive hands-on training and
one-on-one instruction by providing technical support and assistance to
the Cybersecurity Team. The work will be focused on providing exposure
to both hardware and software with the intention to develop skills and
capabilities needed to perform as an entry-level, full-time employee
within the information technology field. The intern will learn through
direct interaction with the Cybersecurity Team on various projects and
assignments as directed by the Cybersecurity Manager. The Intern will
also gain exposure to multiple areas within IT to include networking and
equipment, server administration and configuration, and Service Desk
operations. The Cybersecurity Internship should enable the Intern to
fulfill their internship requirements for both school and resume
purposes. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Other duties may be assigned. Train on enterprise level security tools
and appliances Learn security procedures and raise security awareness
Learn about malicious attacks and attack vectors current adversaries are
using Learn about data classification and procedures Learn about
security compliance and government requirements Document and create
basic procedural instructions Follow established policies, procedures,
operating instructions and processes to provide quality customer support
to clients via email, telephone and in-person contact Demonstrate a
consistent sense of urgency on high priority open issues Ensure timely
follow up to all assigned support issues and data requests Participate
on special projects directed by the Cybersecurity Manager COMPETENCIES:
