Summary:
The person in this position will work on multidisciplinary project teams
providing structural engineering and related technical expertise primarily for
dam structures, hydropower facilities, and flood control structures,
such as spillways, decant systems, overflow weirs, culverts,
pump/lift stations, and other miscellaneous hydraulic structures. Primary
responsibilities will include design and analysis, project management,
preparation of plans and specifications, report writing, cost
estimating, site inspections, dam safety evaluations, risk analyses,
and minor construction observation. The work may require short-term,
out-of-town assignments. As markets fluctuate, opportunities may also
include working on renewable projects such as wind turbine foundation
design, mining, and industrial processing facility projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in structural engineering or civil engineering with a
structural emphasis (including structural analysis and steel and concrete
design)
10 years of related work experience
Professional Engineer (PE) certification
