Wendel is currently seeking a Senior GIS Analyst to work out of our Williamsville, NY headquarters. This person will be a client and technical leader of GIS projects and work with both internal and external clients. Responsibilities: Manage and oversee Esri's suite of ArcGIS software products (ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online, and Enterprise ArcGIS). Play a pivotal role in driving our Geographic Information Systems (GIS) initiatives. Oversee the development and implementation of GIS applications and ArcGIS Online environments for both internal and external clients. Manage existing custom GIS applications. Manage a team of GIS professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise to ensure the successful execution of GIS projects. Be responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing all aspects of GIS-related projects. From facilitating project teams to setting project scope, your expertise will be critical in ensuring successful GIS deployment and utilization. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of GIS initiatives. Focus on managing proposal development, project budgets, project accounting and business development. Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in GIS and evaluate their potential applications within the engineering and municipal sectors. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Geographic Information Systems, Geography, or related field. Master's degree is a plus. Certification in GIS (GISP) is advantageous. At least 7 years of working experience in a GIS-focused role. Solid understanding of enterprise GIS systems. Proven experience in GIS project management. Self-starting, driven, highly motivated individual. Strong organizational skills with solid public speaking experience. Demonstrated technical competence and project experience in mapping and analysis applicable to engineering, water/wastewater engineering, civil engineering, and planning.
