Citrix System Administrator

Job Description

This position will perform CITRIX System Administration duties at a DoD facility.


Responsibilities

The duties include, but are not limited to, the management, maintenance, and sustainment of the CITRIX environment, CITRIX products and CITRIX hosted applications for a DoD customer.

Administers, develops, runs tests, implements, and maintains operating system and related software. Establishes and implements standards for computer operations for compatibility between hardware and software, according to specifications and parameters. Troubleshoots and resolves software, operating system, and networking problems. Schedules, performs, and monitors system backups and performs data recoveries. Recommends hardware and software upgrades according to growth statistics and disk space forecasts. Provides technical support for system users. Performs work under minimal supervision. Handles complex issues and problems, and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff. May act as lead. 


Qualifications

  • Experience in the management, maintenance, and sustainment of the CITRIX environment, CITRIX products and CITRIX hosted applications.
  • Experience including managing successful large scale, multi-discipline, technology or service-oriented projects involving CITRIX
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft OS, Windows Server 2016 (2019/2022) and Infrastructure (AD, CIFS, DNS and GPO).
  • Specialized Experience:
    • CITRIX/XenApp Presentation Server Technology, Citrix Secure Gateway, Desktop Delivery Control, Citrix Resource manager and database, Microsoft Windows Server Administration, Microsoft OS Certification, JAVA/JDK/J2EE.
    • CompTIA Security+ Certification (or government approved IT Security Certification e.g. CISSP).
    • BS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science, from an ABET accredited or CAE designated institution.
  • Required to be U.S. citizen.
  • Must be able to maintain Secret clearance eligibility.
