We are looking for:

To prepare batches, drum, run the flaker or grinder, and monitor reactions as outlined in Manufacturing Procedures.


We count on you for:

  • Manufacture products in conformance to plant quality standards.
  • Package finished goods in conformance to plant quality standards.
  • Run 2 or more pieces of process equipment simultaneously.
  • Follow accurate, timely and visible inventory methods to enhance both physical and electronic inventory accuracies.
  • Uphold and advance HSE policies and standards
  • Maintain and improve operating performance of the operations department
  • Participate on improvement projects for the plant
  • Lead improvement projects
  • Ensure proactive planning and execution of activities within the operations department
  • Ensure compliance in areas of safety, housekeeping, and training.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of all materials
  • Comply with plant infrastructure systems (PHMP, ISO 9000, Manufacturing Excellence, Financial Reporting/Management)
  • Report all safety incidents and near misses and participate in investigations
  • Complete annual training as outlined in plants’ Training Matrix.
  • Complete required operator progression training as outlined in the Operator Training Matrix.
  • Always approach your job with the principle that all incidents are preventable. To that end you need to keep the following aspects in mind:
  • Always perform your job in a sound HS&E manner to protect yourself and those around you.
  • Risk assessment is a mind set, where you are always assessing hazards and thinking about means to avoid those hazards. Take a proactive approach to maintain excellence in all your assignments.
  • Be aware of your state of mind (rushing, frustration, fatigue & complacency) that leads to distractions from the task on hand. Those distractions lead to errors resulting in unwanted incidents.
  • Use all the available tools for your benefits: HS&E training, SafeTrack Observations, Risk Assessment, Incident Reporting, checklists, and Manufacturing Excellence tools.
  • Job completion means Good Housekeeping, filling necessary reports, and watching for your safety and those around you.
  • Your Personal Protective Equipment is the most important tool you have as a professional chemical industry worker. Maintain and clean it properly.
  • Participation leads to ownership. Get involved as often as you can.

You will bring:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Possible entry level position
  • Ability to learn and demonstrate strong work ethics
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Competent on or able to learn SAP system for production transactions
  • Must understand the plant waste handling and shipping requirements (RCRA)
  • Understanding of safe work practices, Process Safety Management, incident investigation techniques, permit to work systems, management of change and safety & environmental regulations.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills for interaction with other site departments
  • Able to facilitate efficient cooperation between departments
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and react to changing priorities
  • Ability to assess, prioritize and resolve plant issues

  • The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is ($27.05) per hour). Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
