
Senior Manager, Digital & eCommerce Delivery
As a member of the Digital Solutions team, reporting to the Global Ecommerce Director, the Senior Manager - Digital & eCommerce Delivery manager will lead the delivery of digital solutions across business lines and global geographies.
The Senior Program Manager will work cross functionally to deliver next generation digital solutions at Abbott.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, or related discipline
- Minimum 9 years of experience in project management, business systems analysis, or software development; preferred experience in delivering IT solutions in an enterprise digital and e-commerce landscape
- Experience with Software Delivery projects is an added advantage
- Minimum 6 years of managing projects in digital marketing, web design, mobile or interactive media.
- Experience or familiarity with technologies and best practices in areas not limited to: Customer experience, CRM, marketing/sales automation, web content management, e-commerce, PCI, mobile solutions, social engagement, data driven marketing (DMP), and health care
- Experience managing release cycles or programs involving multiple projects managers and cross-functional development/testing teams.
- Excellent track record in delivering complex and cross functional programs
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead Agile Scrum teams
- Knowledge of software development practices (e.g. Agile/Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence)
- Experience working in matrix global organization where success requires broad orchestration of resources and services
- Experience working in an FDA-regulated business (e.g. validated software related to medical, pharmaceutical, or life sciences products) and PCI regulated business is preferred
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Initiate and Plan IT Projects
- Works with business and IT management to establish and gain consensus on project goals, objectives and deliverables
- Partner with Business and IT leaders to drive digital business needs, use cases and prioritization
Project Delivery
- Manage the delivery of a large and complex portfolio of Strategic Digital Programs with responsibility for Quality, Costs, Delivery and Risk
- Building a customer obsessed culture that focuses on customer success as its primary goal
- Develops and executes a work plan obtaining authorized resources to ensure all project activities are performed.
- Establish frameworks to track milestones, goals and objectives, communicate progress and help identify issues early on
- Assess the degree to which changes to scope, issues and risks will affect projects, working with division and cross divisional management and sponsor to gain agreement for resolution
- Measure project financials to ensure project is progressing as compared to the original plan and budget
- Communicate project progress by producing project reports to provide timely and accurate project status and decision support to Project Team, Division, Cross Division and Executive Management. Makes recommendations based on current project status to resolve issues.
- Provide Agile best practices across the organization; this will include coaching and mentoring Project Managers, product owners, and developers. Develop processes that improve team productivity
Accountability
- Manages projects at the division or cross-division level
- Makes strategic decisions that impact department or Divisions/sites. Final decision authority for project level budget and activities
- Direct Budgetary Responsibility: 0-$4M
- Business Impact and Risk: 0-$7M in business financial impact. Mission critical to business. Division or Multi-divisions affected
