We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our client's team in Columbia, Pennsylvania. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in supporting the company's human resources functions by managing employee records, coordinating onboarding processes, and ensuring compliance with employment regulations. Responsibilities:
• Maintain and update employee records with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
• Oversee onboarding processes, including processing new employee paperwork and coordinating employee terminations.
• Prepare and distribute HR-related documents, such as employment contracts, job offers, and company policies.
• Assist in posting job openings, tracking applications, and scheduling interviews with candidates.
• Coordinate pre-screening activities, such as background checks and employment verifications.
• Plan and implement employee engagement programs to foster a positive workplace culture.
• Organize training sessions and keep detailed records of employee participation and certifications.
• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws as well as company policies.
• Utilize HR software and tools to manage employee data and generate insightful reports
• Proven experience in HR administration, including employee records management and onboarding processes.
• Strong knowledge of conducting background checks and pre-employment screening.
• Proficiency in using HRIS platforms and other related software.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with employees and candidates.
• Familiarity with employment laws and regulations at the federal, state, and local levels.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
• Experience in coordinating employee engagement or training initiatives is a plus.
