April 15, 2024 ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The Esports Coordinator is
responsible for the growth and development of the Esports program at the
University. This position will report to Executive Director, University
Union & Auxiliary Services and be responsible for supporting the overall
Esports program at the University. This position is expected to
coordinate team coaching, competitive team management, scheduling and
hosting events & competitions and the recruitment & retention efforts of
the program. This position is expected to contribute to the overall
University priority of student success through the engagement of
students in the Esports program. In this position, the selected
candidate will provide subject matter expertise in the development and
execution of programs within the scope of student learning and
development. Organizes the facilitation and development of curriculum
design for on-going and new educational initiatives. Strives to create a
welcoming, equitable, and inclusive work environment. This position
includes the following responsibilities: Organizes student-focused
programming (Esports) and resources to promote new and ongoing
educational initiatives Serves as a subject matter expert (Esports) to
internal and external stakeholders Esports team management & coaching
Creates and maintains schedules, logistics, and resources for one or
multiple programs, activities, and/or services Coordinate on-campus
Esports events & competitions Serve on University Committees, Task
Forces, ect. Participate in Division and campus-wide committee and
working groups Generates and analyzes reports of curricular and unit
outcomes Writes, edits, and publishes content for various communication
projects and marketing platforms to align with strategic initiatives and
established communication campaigns SPECIAL NOTES: This position
requires a varying scheduled, including evenings and weekends, depending
on department, programmatic and event needs. Limited travel required.
Position is a full-time Academic Staff appointment. Official transcripts
of the highest degree achieved will be required of finalist(s). A
criminal conviction investigation will be conducted on the finalist(s).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor\'s degree at time of hire from an
accredited institution Demonstrated knowledge of PC computer gaming
software Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse student population,
creating a culture of inclusion Have the ability to delegate and
prioritize work PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Previous experience working
with diverse populations and/or diversity issues on a college/university
campus Previous experience participating on a University Esports program
Previous experience serving as an Esports coach Experience working with
