*The position is a NYSERDA on the Job Training (OJT) Program to train workers in Clean Energy.* Full time. Pay: $50,000 - $80,000 per year. We are seeking energetic, and personable candidates to fill our Residential Energy Auditor positions. Job Description - Inspect and evaluate building envelopes to identify potential energy inefficiencies. - Calculate savings for energy savings improvements using our energy modeling software. - Correspond with customers to explain all of the benefits of a green, healthy home, and answer any questions regarding the presented scope of work. - Quantify energy consumption to establish baselines for energy use. - Present findings in an organized manner and execute a contract of sale. Skills - Basic understanding of the framework of a building; (studs, joists, soffits, etc.) - Proven interpersonal skills with a track record of building relationships. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Sound judgment and decision-making ability. - Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail. BPI Certification Preferred.- Environmental Degree is a plus. Knowledge of Air Source Heat Pumps is a plus. Proven experience as an Energy Auditor is a plus.
