We are on the hunt for a Staff Accountant to join our team in Franklin, Tennessee. As a Staff Accountant, you will uphold the integrity and maintenance of accounting records in accordance with GAAP. You will also play a vital role in the coordination and preparation of monthly financial statements, acting as a liaison with internal and external auditors, and supporting the company's budget process.
Responsibilities:
• Uphold and maintain the integrity of accounting records for all entities, including consolidated financials and reports following GAAP guidelines
• Act as a liaison with both external and internal auditors during quarterly reviews and year-end audit testing procedures
• Understand the flow of transactions in the financial reporting application and the interfacing between systems
• Coordinate, prepare and review monthly financial statements
• Play a significant role in monthly and year-end closing schedules
• Support the company's budget process as necessary
• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions, and complete corresponding reconciliations
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Perform bank reconciliations
• Make journal entries and conduct month-end close.
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processes, including invoice processing, payment processing, and vendor management.
• Expertise in Accounts Receivable (AR), including invoicing, cash application, and customer account reconciliation.
• Experience with Bank Reconciliations, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are promptly addressed.
• Strong understanding of the General Ledger, including maintaining and updating ledger accounts and preparing financial reports.
• Ability to prepare and post Journal Entries, ensuring accurate reflection of the company's financial transactions.
• Knowledge of Month End Close procedures, including preparing financial statements and reports, reconciling account balances, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
