Security Policy Manager Responsibilities
  • Work with Meta's Public Policy and Security teams, as well as external stakeholders, to monitor the global cybersecurity environment for policy issues that interest the company.
  • Coordinate our strategy to protect our users and the Meta platform from cybersecurity threats.
  • Work within Meta’s Public Policy team to formulate policies that govern user, partner, and developer behavior on Meta.
  • Understand the internal teams working on cybersecurity projects and how their work fits into the global strategy.
  • Represent Meta in meetings with technical experts, politicians, policymakers, NGOs and civil society groups.
  • Represent Meta on topics in the intersection of policy and security.
  • Move quickly to identify and respond to global events and trends.
  • Ability to travel globally when necessary.
  • Experience in information security at technology companies and/or in government.
  • Understanding of current threats and trends in cybersecurity and the cybersecurity community.
  • Experience working in a dynamic environment and influencing outcomes.
  • Experience operating independently and within ambiguity.
  • Experience representing organizations externally as well at the executive and senior official level internally.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Requires a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Requires 24 months of experience involving the following:
  • 1. Information security management with a technology company or government organization
  • 2. Global cybersecurity environments and
  • 3. Understanding of current threats and trends in cybersecurity and the cybersecurity community.

$254,908/year to $292,160/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual pay is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable. In addition to base salary, Meta offers benefits.
