Mental Health Therapy Aides (Evenings) - One opening is available on Unit 2B, Evenings, for a Mental Health Therapy Aide (MHTA). The successful candidate must be able to assist the 2B team in the care of recently admitted inpatients. Job Duties/ Expectations: Accompany clients to other health related facilities as assigned, escort transports to medical emergencies. Assist other staff in identifying the need for and providing crisis intervention. Maintain a therapeutic environment which is clean, safe and an atmosphere which encourages positive mental health and achievement of individual potential. Observe, record and report patient's behavior to Charge Nurse in a timely fashion. Interact with clients in a therapeutic manner. Provide clients with a safe and therapeutic environment. Assist clients in performing ADL's encouraging independent functioning when appropriate. Satisfactory work performance Responsible Time and Attendance Minimum Qualifications for this position include: Current GBHC employee in a MHTA title Any presently employed MHTA who meets the minimum qualifications for this position and wishes to be considered for assignment should apply by submitting the GBHC Job Vacancy Posting Application to the Human Resources Department on or before the closing date below. Successful candidate will remain on current shift + schedule until 2B opens. A change in assignment may impact previously approved time off requests.
