Construction Laborer

A locally owned and reputable residential home builder in the Flathead Valley is looking to fill a Construction Laborer position. They focus on building affordable homes for people who work, live and vacation in Kalispell and the Flathead Valley. Their goal is to provide clients with an easy and fun home-building experience. They have a solid reputation in the community, attested to by their length of time building homes in the beautiful Flathead Valley and many repeat home buyers over the years.

The Construction Laborer will assist the Superintendent in keeping job sites clean and furnished with all materials needed.  If you are wanting to start a career in the construction industry and are ready to learn and grow, this is an excellent opportunity.

Pay: $20 to $25/hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Full Time, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (may vary by season)

Essential Functions and Duties:
Visit all job sites daily to ensure cleanliness, organize debris, sweep houses, and pull protection as needed
Report issues, damage, hazardous conditions, and oversights to the Superintendent
Haul and dispose of trash using a trailer, maintaining site cleanliness
Maintain inventory and storage of company equipment (e.g., heaters, concrete blankets)
Deliver and set up heaters, concrete blankets, and thawzalls as needed, particularly in colder months
Perform general maintenance on company vehicles and trailers, including servicing and repairs
Power wash garage, decks, and sidewalks as scheduled and maintain snow removal as necessary to ensure access to all projects
Inspect crawls every day and ensure fans are down in place where needed

Qualifications:
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Ability to haul a trailer in a variety of situations, including backing up
Good communication skills with the ability to relay reports to the Superintendent
Ability to lift 50 - 100 lbs. repeatedly throughout the day, and the ability to bend, twist, stoop, or crawl as needed
Ability to operate power and hand tools and accurately read and interpret a tape measure
