Assistant Professor Computer Science - The SUNY Broome Community College Computer Science Department has a full-time, tenure-track appointment as an Assistant Professor in Computer Security and Forensics available beginning Fall 2024. Responsibilities include teaching, advising, program development, and assessment. Knowledge in the following areas is required: <P> Cyber Security & Forensics: <LI> Computer Security Incident Response Process <LI> Forensic data acquisition, analysis and reporting <LI> Malware analysis <LI> Cryptography <LI> Computer and network security <P> Operating Systems: <LI> Windows (client/server) <LI> Linux <P> Hardware: <LI> Computer hardware <LI> Networking hardware <P> Networking: <LI> TCP/IP <LI> Virtualization (VMware ESXi/Xen), and proficiency in procedural and object-oriented programming. Knowledge of C++, Python and Intel Assembly Language is preferred. <P> Instruction will be face-to-face, HyFlex and online. Experience in Computer Security and Forensics or related field with work experience in an area appropriate to the teaching field strongly preferred. Prior teaching at the community college level in the classroom and online is preferred. <P> Requirements: <LI> A Master's degree in an appropriate field is required at the time of appointment.
