Introduction to the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a creative and highly organised individual to join the multi-award-winning marketing team within HarperFiction. We welcome applications from all communities and particularly encourage applications from communities underrepresented in publishing.
As Senior Marketing Executive you will be responsible for planning and implementing campaigns across a wide range of commercial fiction including crime and thriller, general fiction and science fiction and fantasy. You will also support members of the fiction marketing team on delivering integrated and innovative campaigns for some of our biggest brands.

Responsibilities:
Plan, develop and implement creative and impactful marketing campaigns across commercial fiction genres
Collaborate with team members to create market-leading campaigns for our biggest brand authors
Create and brief design across a wide range of media, including digital and print environments
Communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders, working closely with our editorial, publicity and digital teams
Create and schedule social media content, including community page management across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X and TikTok
Pro-actively identify opportunities for cross promotion and partnerships with third parties
Share campaign and industry learnings with the wider marketing team to help foster a culture of shared learning
Key Skills and Experience:
Has experience working in a busy marketing department, preferably at a trade publisher
Enjoys reading widely with an active interest in the publishing industry and a passion for commercial fiction
Thrives in a fast-paced environment, able to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise with confidence
A team player with exceptional communication and people skills
Has an active interest in the latest marketing trends and campaigns from across the book industry as well as the wider entertainment and media sector
Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills
Experience of creating and optimising social media advertising campaigns
Social media native with experience of content creation for a variety of platforms
Ability to use Photoshop/Canva to create social media assets
Experience in eCRM campaigns preferred
