Job Description

 
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Description Assemble building material components
such as walls panels, roof and floor trusses, and or millwork products
such as doors or windows. Able to read and understand set-up sheets,
work orders, drawings or blueprints and gather necessary materials and
tools to complete order. Ensures that assembled items meet quality
specifications, may propose improvements in order to increase finish
quality or efficiency or assembly process. Plans and pace own work
efficiency in order to meet daily, weekly, project or team related
production goals. Understand and observe all safety procedures and
practices in order to prevent injury to self or co-workers; attend
safety meetings as required Other duties may be assigned Follow
established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean
environment. Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using a ruler,
pencil, chalk, and marking gauge. Assemble and fasten materials to make
frameworks or props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel
pins, or glue. Study specifications in blueprints, sketches, or building
plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials
required. Shape or cut materials to specified measurements, using hand
tools, machines, or power saws. Verify trueness of structure, using
plumb bob and level. Remove damaged or defective parts or sections of
structures and repair or replace, using hand tools. Anchor and brace
forms and other structures in place, using nails, bolts, anchor rods,
steel cables, planks, wedges, and timbers. Job Requirements High School
diploma or GED Knowledge of and ability to use a variety of hand and
powers tools to assemble either building materials components or mill
work Manual Dexterity Knowledge of safety procedures while performing
assembly tasks Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out
detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. \*\*\*\*\*
