ADS Inc. has an immediate job opening for a Systems Administrator in our Virginia Beach Headquarters. If you would like to work with one of the fastest growing defense contractors in the nation, then this job could be for you.

Systems Administrator Responsibilities and Skills:

• Assists in the installation, maintenance, and general support of systems including but not limited to servers, laptops, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, mobile devices, software deployment, security updates and patches, and desk phones
• Maintain system efficiency by routinely checking event logs and system events
• Keeping OS and Software up to date by deploying patches as necessary
• Snapshot backup and restore management via AWS
• Maintain integrity of the network, server deployment, and security
• Assign permissions to network resources based on authorization and authentication
• Troubleshooting general Windows 10 and MAC OSX problems
• Troubleshooting Office 365, Adobe and Java related problems
• Managing and configuring imaging system SCCM and maintaining on-hand inventory
• Active Directory management and object configuration
• Assist in responding to Helpdesk tickets in a timely manner and following up as needed
• May assist with performing user profile backups when switching equipment
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• Will assist in a variety of IT implementations and projects
• Make recommendations for future upgrades.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Associate's degree or its equivalent with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• CompTia A+ and Security+ certifications preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite is required
• Strong knowledge of system administration best practices and methodologies
• Detail oriented, with ability to work and drive tasks independently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of common business practices is required
• Strong analytical skills with proven analysis and problem-solving abilities.
