Your Role and Responsibilities
- Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability scans of cloud infrastructure and applications.
- Develop and implement mitigation strategies to address identified risks and vulnerabilities across cloud infrastructure environments.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS) in cloud deployments. Implement and maintain cloud governance frameworks to enforce security policies and procedures.
- Develop the risk management strategy for the overall Vulnerability and Patch management, ensuring the holistic security posture of the environment to the senior leadership
- Implement Data Encryption, tokenization, and other data protection measures to protect sensitive information stored on the cloud.
- Design and develop IAM controls and policies to safeguard the cloud infrastructure against unauthorized access and breaches
- Collaborate with internal and external SMEs , IBM Cyber Security Teams and customers to determine the best courses of action in preparation for IT audits, risk assessments, and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with customers and proactively response on the ITSM tickets
- Engage with the Build team and Architects to investigate security incidents, identify underlying causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Communicating the security status effectively to key stakeholders through detailed reports and presentations, facilitating informed decision-making and risk mitigation strategies.
- Excellent proficiency in both verbal and written communication
- Proficient in organizing and facilitating planning sessions and demonstrations, ensuring effective coordination and communication among team members for successful project outcomes
- Maintaining flexibility in working hours to ensure availability for supporting the team whenever required, fostering collaborative and responsive teamwork.
- Demonstrating quick learnability, adept at tracking, managing, and ensuring timely completion of project tasks, contributing to efficient project execution.
- Willing to work in shifts.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Bachelor’s Degree with 4 + year of experience in IT Security
- CISSP, AWS Certified Security, CySA+, Security+ CE, SSCP, CND, or other Cloud Security certifications is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles, best practices, and emerging trends.
- Experience with Security standards – NIST, PCI DSS, HIPAA, and ISO27K cloud security compliance standards
- Good understanding of the Cloud environments(Azure/AWS/GCP) with hands on experience in designing, developing and implementing cloud security architecture solutions
- In depth knowledge of the Cloud Security principles to develop a secured environment and proactively mitigate the security vulnerabilities and zero day threats
- Proficiency in scripting and automation languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Ansible) for security automation.
- Extensive practical experience with ITSM tools like ServiceNow etc. is a plus
- Well versed with the end to end security lifecycle from product inception to implementation and ongoing maintenance
- Possess thorough understanding of Identity and Access management (IAM) across cloud solutions
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Knowledge of any of these is a big plus
- Qradar, splunk , Openshift/Kubernetes, Turbonomics, Guardium
