Our financial services team sits within FH’s corporate practice but our FS briefs spans multiple disciplines within the agency – corporate reporting, corporate communications, content marketing, consumer facing campaigns, thought leadership, stakeholder engagement, press office and newsroom, public affairs, social and influencer comms and crisis comms.  We work for big household UK and global financial services brands across the banking, insurance, asset management, wealth management, pensions, private equity, fintech and payments space, working closely with our colleagues across the FleishmanHillard network, but particularly with US, APAC and Brussels.

The role

As an Account Manager your role will be to support the senior FS team in driving forward key FS and Fintech clients and helping to grow the practice.  This includes responsibility for building and maintaining relationships with clients and managing team members to ensure delivery of the day-to-day programme to a consistently high standard, as well as regularly supporting on new business briefs and marketing activity.

Being the day-to-day anchor on a portfolio of client accounts. This will involve managing and activating the programme delivery, adding creative input to press office and campaign activity, delivering results across earned media (as well as contributing to strategy across owned and paid activity), managing reporting, spotting new opportunities, as well as contributing to strategy and crisis management.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensuring a high standard of work and superior client service, always with an eye to driving the satisfaction that supports client retention and growth.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, particularly on media strategy and industry knowledge. Our clients want a partnership, which means you need to understand their challenges and opportunities well as they do and offer smart strategic thinking to help them deliver meaningful impact internally.
  • Create messaging grounded in audience insight, developing communications programs and plans, offering forward-thinking expertise around channel and content strategies, ensuring the successful delivery of tactics and smart measurement to demonstrate success
  • Supporting on new business development, either by participating in new business document preparation and / or being part of a pitch team presenting to prospects. You will also be expected to network at relevant media, industry and client events. 
  • Working with our colleagues across the FH and Omnicom networks on clients, internal initiatives and new business.
  • Inspiring, mentoring and motivating junior team members to build a highly engaged, inclusive and productive team.
  • Deliver continuous feedback; take every opportunity to be inclusive, provide guidance, counsel and support to colleagues.

About you:

You will have a broad mix of FS sector experience, having worked with a range of b2b and b2c brands across pensions, asset management, general insurance, retail and commercial banking, private equity and Fintech.  You will have strong media contacts in the specialist and mainstream media, and be well versed on regulatory and industry issues.
