Robert Half Marketing & Creative is looking for a Design Director with a product & manufacturing focus to join a growing team in Westminster, Colorado. The Design Director will be in charge of leading various design teams, developing custom solutions that align with the brand's vision, and addressing retail challenges proactively.
Responsibilities:
• Drive the creative development of custom solutions that meet retail challenges and align with the brand's vision.
• Supervise and manage diverse teams including sculpting, digital design, 3D scanning/printing, master prototyping, sewing, finishing, and product design.
• Collaborate with photography, marketing, and social media teams to effectively communicate the brand’s story.
• Work in close association with customers and account executives to devise custom mannequin collections.
• Define new product lines, taking into account market and competitor analysis, retail challenges, and user experience.
• Deliver creative, cost-effective solutions with minimal supervision.
• Participate in the design process, ensuring excellence in every product detail, from sculpting to finishing touches.
• Simplify the custom design process to improve efficiency and establish universal standards for extraneous parts to streamline production.
• Lead efforts to enhance team timelines, communication, and overall workflow.
• Perform market and competitor analysis to inform design decisions and product direction.
• Manage a team of 3-4 direct reports and 10-20 in direct reports.
• Cultivate a culture of innovation and excellence across all teams.
• Applicant must possess a minimum of 6 (six) years' experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud is essential
• Expertise in Product or Manufacturing design is a requirement
• Must have prior management experience
This is a fully on-site (5days/week) position in Westminster, CO. NO exceptions.
