Minimum qualifications:
- 8 years of experience in product management.
- Experience with relational databases and building cloud database services.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience building SaaS database backup services and solutions.
- Experience managing business strategy and execution.
- Experience working with relational databases, with an understanding of underlying storage and backup capabilities.
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and storage technologies.
- Ability to work with executives, product leaders, and executive engineering leaders across Google.

As a Product Manager (PM) in the Cloud SQL Platform, you will be responsible for driving strategy and execution of Cloud SQL Data Protection capabilities. You will drive the strategy to deliver a comprehensive enterprise backup solution and adjacent capabilities that provide data protection for Cloud SQL.

Responsibilities
- Develop the product strategy to deliver a comprehensive enterprise backup solution that is differentiated in the market.
- Build a clear understanding of database backup technologies, market trends, and customer requirements to help shape the overall product strategy.
- Collaborate with Google Backup and the Storage team to develop joint product strategy and execution plan to deliver a centralized backup solution for Cloud SQL.
- Develop a strategy to reduce friction for SaaS backup products to integrate with Cloud SQL.
- Devise innovative product and pricing strategy to optimize backup cost.
