This position is located at the Paint Mines Interpretive Park in Calhan, CO
Assists in providing interpretive services within the Paint Mines Interpretive
Park to promote public understanding and appreciation of natural areas;
ensures visitors adhere to park regulations and performs light maintenance.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of regional natural and cultural history preferred.
Strong professional commitment to the position.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with
staff, volunteers, and the general public.
Ability to stimulate interest and lead people in various interpretive
activities.
Ability to effectively communicate park rules to visitors to minimize damage
to trails, formations, and other sensitive areas.
Ability to use various computer programs, including word processing,
databases, and desktop publishing software; Microsoft Office proficiency
preferred.
