SelectTech has experienced tremendous growth in its airworthy roll-on roll-off transportation systems and is seeking a Deputy Program Manager to join a mission focused team.

Guided by the SelectTech Senior Program Manager, the Deputy PM will assist in managing all aspects of project execution as dictated by the assigned contract terms and program scope. The person selected for this position will work closely with all SelectTech management, engineering, operations, quality and purchasing staff to execute all assigned tasks. The Deputy PM may also participate in other operational tasks such as proposal preparation, policy/procedure documentation, etc. Other responsibilities can include team leadership, building and maintaining customer trust, and assisting with business development. Priority will be to lead teams that adhere to all tenets of SelectTech’s program/project/contract management: safety, integrity, teamwork, effective communication and planning, fact-based execution (cost, schedule, and performance/quality), and commitment to continuous improvement.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Define contract scope using a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) to translate SOWs and other requirements documents into structured work tasks.

Generate program planning documents such as PMPs, Risk Management Plans, Configuration Management Plans, Communication Plans, IMPs, IMSs, resource loaded networks, etc. and work with other functional experts to develop other integral planning documents such as Test Plans, Quality Plans, Manufacturing Plans, etc.

Accurately estimate resources required to achieve assigned scope.

Draft, submit, and manage project budgets and schedules.

Develop and present progress status reports and presentations (e.g., IPR, PMRs, TIMs, etc.) to management and customers.

Proactively manage program risk (develop and manage risk registers, develop and execute mitigation strategies to proactively identify and manage risk areas).

Travel as required to customer/vendor/work performance sites.

Assist with the generation of quotes and proposals to organically grow assigned programs.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor Degree in a relevant technical or management field. An advanced degree can be a plus. Will consider personnel with substantial relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree.

1-3 years of experience in a project or program management capacity; experience in roles other than as an assigned PM will be considered if the experience is applicable.

PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is desired, but if not currently certified, must be willing to actively work towards achieving certification within the first year of hire.

Familiarity with various contract types such as FFP and Time & Material (T&M) and commercial and FAR/DFAR contracting regulations – experience with federal ITAR regulations is considered a plus.

Skilled with ISO 9001 and/or AS 9100 Quality Management processes & procedures.

Experienced in the use of Microsoft Project, GANTT, PERT and CPM charts.

Ability to work both independently and in team-oriented, collaborative environments.

Strong examples of proven analytical and problem-solving performance. Ability to think outside the box.

Strong written/oral communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks, even in high-pressure circumstances & environments.

Active Secret security clearance is considered a plus.
