VOX Global, a strategic communications firm, is accepting applications for our Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) fellowship. This position will support VOX’s award-winning ESG and Corporate Responsibility team in their work crafting sustainability programming, developing ESG reporting strategies and materials, conducting materiality assessments, and communicating corporate responsibility and ESG stories for clients ranging from Fortune 10 companies to midsized businesses across the globe.

The fellowship is a paid, full-time, 3-6-month position based in our Washington, DC or Indianapolis, IN offices. We are looking for someone to join our team as soon as possible. This is a hybrid role, with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.

Responsibilities

Fellows contribute to projects for diverse clients in various industries and will have a mentor for the duration of their fellowship. Those selected will also have opportunities to participate in professional development trainings to grow their skills, research and development, and potential client collaboration through client and internal team meeting attendance.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Researching ESG topics and trends, reviewing and analyzing performance data, completing competitive analysis and benchmarking, and writing communications and reporting materials.

Qualifications

  • College graduate with at least two prior internships in communications, sustainability/ESG, public affairs or related fields and/or currently enrolled in/completed a graduate program
  • Demonstrated interest in the principles of corporate sustainability and ESG
  • Long-term project experience, either through coursework or prior career experience
  • Excellent research and analytical skills; a team-oriented attitude
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to synthesize information from various perspectives and sources
  • Copy editing and proofing abilities
  • Good sense of humor and interest in working in a collaborative environment
  • Experience in or knowledge of sustainability/ESG reporting frameworks and report writing frameworks including Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) and the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) is a plus.
