May coordinate and provide information to law enforcement and emergency response personnel. May access sensitive databases and other information sources as needed. May provide additional instructions to callers based on knowledge of and certification in law enforcement, fire, or emergency medical procedures.

Job Summary

MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A BACKGROUND CHECK, DRUG TEST AND HEARING TEST. Receive complaints from public concerning crimes and police emergencies. Broadcast orders to police patrol units in vicinity of complaint to investigate. Operate radio, telephone, or computer equipment to receive reports of fires and medical emergencies and relay information or orders to proper officials. Must be computer literate. After hire APPLICANTS WILL BE DRUG TESTED and have a hearing test. Must be able to work rotating shifts (1st, 2nd, 3rd Shift).TYPING TEST CANNOT BE OVER 6 MONTHS OLD AND MUST HAVE VERFICATION OF THE DATE AND THE TEST RESULTS. THE TEST RESULTS MUST BE FROM THE AGENCY ADMINISTERING THE TEST. Must be able to type at least 32 words per minute with a 98% accuracy. Must have HS Diploma or Equivalent.
