JOB REQUIREMENTS: POSITION PURPOSE Provide first-level preparation of
quarterly and annual Securities and Exchange Commission filings and
maintenance of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOA) 404 project through
modifications to process documentation, employee training, and
communications with various internal and external resources. DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES Assists in the first-level preparation of external
consolidated financial statements (10-K and 10-Q), including but not
limited to preparing consolidated financial statements, footnotes, and
supporting schedules for SEC disclosures and ensuring mathematical
accuracy of the external financial information. Prepares and updates all
SOA existing process documentation in conjunction with process owners,
including planning and organizing annual updates. Ensures documentation
is properly documented in the Company\'s SOA application. Assists in
educating employees on SOA 404-related matters regarding implications
and requirements of SOA 404 and their personal roles and
responsibilities. Assists in drafting new documentation and identifying
key controls. Assists in preparing action plans for identified control
deficiencies. Maintains and prepares accounting disclosures and related
spreadsheets, journal entries, account reconciliations, and reports.
Assists in researching and documenting various technical accounting
issues relating to the Company. Gathers and documents information on new
accounting pronouncements and SEC rulings. Assists with special projects
as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience A bachelor\'s
degree in accounting or equivalent experience. A Certified Public
Accountant license preferred. Two to five years of experience in the
accounting or audit profession. Experience working with or in a publicly
traded company and/or public accounting experience preferred. Knowledge
and Skills Working understanding of generally accepted accounting
principles and SOA. Working ability to research accounting
pronouncements and apply them to the Company. Working ability to
identify accounting issues that may require specific disclosures or
accounting treatment. Effective analytical, written, and verbal
communication and interpersonal skills. General understanding of
financial statements. Able to conceptualize problems and formulate
acceptable methods of evaluation. Strong project management and
organizational skills. Personal computer skills, including word
processing, spreadsheet, and database packages. ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION
