Job Description

 
15 fulltime seasonal workers 03/24/2025 - 1/15/2026. Performs duties including: drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest and store grain and fruit crops. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc and drill to tractor. Till soil; plant and cultivate grain. Transportation and application of organic and commercial nutrients to Schofield Farm properties from locations in Chautauqua county, New York, including transporting nutrients from hopper to stockpile and from stockpile to farm. Tow harvesting equipment between Schofield Farm properties. Drive and operate self- propelled combine, grain cart, other harvesting equipment. General lubrication, service (check fluids) and incidental repair to farm machinery. Drive grain and livestock feed trucks to transport crops/feed to elevator, storage area, various Schofield Farm properties or farm properties within Chautauqua county, New York. List of equipment: Row crop tractors and implements, GPS guidance, liquid application equipment, pumps, grain and forage harvesting equipment, sprayers, tillage equipment, irrigation equipment, loaders, dozer. Must be willing to work in inclement weather conditions. Must be able to lift 60 lbs. Minimum of (3) months experience required. No minimum education required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
