Position Overview




Riverside Research is seeking a Logistics Manager to oversee the planning and controls the flow of materials, products, services and related systems information from point of origin to point of delivery. Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to supply chain services, inventory control, or critical parts availability, material handling, import-export licensing, third-party warehousing and shipping/receiving activities. Develops and implements logistics plans, budgets, and procedures to maximize compliance with customer needs within budget constraints. Provides financial reporting and reconciliation of inventories. Exhibits thorough understanding of international Letters of Credit and other forms of banking documents and international shipments. Interacts with vendors and peers in Manufacturing, Sales, Finance, and Product Development personnel to optimize systems and procedures. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. Companies may or may not have logistics functions. Responsibilities




Responsible for providing logistical expertise and technical support to -135 aircraft programs
Collect and analyze aircraft logistic indicators and makes recommendations to Program Managers (PM) to improve aircraft availability, reliability, and maintainability
Review daily aircraft status and brief Big Safari senior leadership and PMs to ensure current information is available concerning operating locations, on-going maintenance or support actions, and any limiting factors that could lead to mission degradations or schedule changes
Review and recommend changes or additions to Operational Requirements Documents, Design Operational Capability Statements, Statement of Work, Statement of Objectives, Joint publications, Strategic plans, Combat Mission Need Statements, and Technical Order changes
Participate in USAF and MAJCOM level Weapon System Review (WSR) meetings and briefings. Prepares the RC-135 WSR quarterly report and the annual briefing to the CSAF
Manage the RC-135 Aircraft Availability Improvement Program (AAIP). Perform evaluation and updates as required to USAF and MAJCOM senior leadership
Author and manager of the C-135 Life Cycle Management Plan and the Item Unique Identification Program. Provide updates as required to various levels of command
Assist in the evaluation of associated test plans, procedures, test results, and logistical support issues
Assist in the preparation and coordination of briefings, reports, and decision papers
Manage the Big Safari RC-135 contractor Quality Assurance Surveillance Program and conduct classroom instruction and training to Air Force Quality Assurance Evaluators
Monitor technology, analyzes proposals, and evaluates concepts to determine technical feasibility and military applicability of aircraft support equipment and aircraft maintenance support plans
Manage the Logistics Self Inspection Program (SIP). Provide status and corrective action plans to wing SIP managers. Logistics SIP point of contact for MAJCOM UCI and IG Inspections


Qualifications




Minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; 8 years with a Master's degree; PhD with 5 years' experience or equivalent experience is typically required for an Employee at this level.
United States citizen possessing or capable of receiving TOP SECRET/SCI Security Clearance
A minimum of 12 years logistical experience in the RC-135 weapon system to include deployment locations, deployment strategies, and sustainment requirements at forward operating locations
10 years of maintenance superintendent operational/field experience with RC-135 aircraft
At least 6 years of Major Command or equivalent staff duty
At least 8 years experience collecting, analyzing, prioritizing, and validating deficiencies in Reconnaissance Mission Needs Statements (MNS), Operational Requirements Documents (ORD), and aircraft Quality Performance Indicators
Knowledge of Department of Defense acquisition reform initiatives with emphasis on Advanced Concept Technology Demonstrations
A proven record in problem solving, effective communication, decision-making, financial management, program and production management abilities
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products
Associate Degree in Aircraft Maintenance Technology or a related aircraft maintenance discipline
Bachelors Degree
Current in USAF maintenance/logistics support concepts including CAMS, REMIS, and LIMS-EV

$138,600 - $145,000 This represents the typical compensation range for this position based on experience, location and other factors.
