Computer Information Technology Instructors
SALARY: $45/hr per instruction hour
LOCATION: Lynnwood, Washington
DESCRIPTION:
Are you a subject expert who is interested in becoming an instructor for the launch of Edmonds College’s Center for Industry Certification? This new center will focus on workforce development programs for workers interested in “upskilling” themselves by completing certificate programs in multiple in demand sectors of the workforce. We are looking for industry leaders in topics that include, but are not limited to:
We are currently looking for instructors who specialize in:
Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Google professional certificate programs
CompTIA Cybersecurity programs (Net +)
Computer Programming Languages (Java, C#, Python, HTML, CSS, Javascript etc.)
Social Media Marketing
Microsoft Azure
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Creating lesson plans and facilitating the curriculum for your chosen course and acting as the sole instructor of the topic
- Prompt communication with the Center of Industry Certification department at Edmonds College to ensure clear and consistent delivery of your course content
This is a contract presenter employment position that reports to the Director of Continuing Education.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Where applicable, maintain an industry-recognized certification in the course being taught.
- Excellent verbal, problem-solving, critical thinking, writing, and computer skills.
- Ability to teach classes in various modalities (face-to-face, online, or hybrid) and at varying times (afternoons, evenings, or weekends)
- Willingness to market and advertise your course on digital platforms to increase enrollment and exposure for your class.
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusivity and respect for a diverse community college environment comprised of students, faculty, and staff of varying social, economic, cultural, ideological, and ethnic backgrounds.
PHYSICAL WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is typically performed in a classroom setting if the course is in person. Your work environment is directly tied to the nature of your class.
COMPENSATION:
Compensation is $45 per instruction hour for the course.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Depending on the nature of your course. Our classes typically run during the evenings or on weekends in order to be accessible to as many people as possible.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
You must document your citizenship or employment authorization within three days of hire.
Criminal background check. Prior to a new hire, a background check including criminal history will be conducted. Information from the background check will not necessarily preclude employment but will be considered in determining the applicant's suitability and competence to perform in the position.
