JOB DESCRIPTION
A PT4 demonstrates a balanced approach to practice professional development leadership research quality improvement and clinical management. A PT4 performs at an advanced practice level in multiple clinical areas. A PT4 is recognized as an expert within or beyond the institution and his or her expertise is validated through peer-reviewed publications advanced educational activities and/or clinical specialist certification. A therapist at this level critically analyzes the system of patient care services to maximize quality and address system deficiencies. A PT4 initiates QST programs and participates in ongoing program development. A PT4 is a clinician with well-developed clinical expertise within a defined specialty. The PT4 develops and mentors others to promote professional growth and improve patient outcomes. A PT4 completes administrative and clinical projects and supervises staff as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Performs physical therapy examinations according to professional standards and departmental policy
  • Demonstrates knowledge of intervention options and executes a program of skilled physical therapy intervention
  • Actively participates in professional growth of self and others
  • Actively participates in quality improvement and program development.
  • In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

Position Compensation Range: $81,078.40 - $129,729.60 Annual

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy
Experience: 5 years relevant experience
Licensure: Licensed to practice in Physical Therapy in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Job requires standing for prolonged periods and frequently bending/stooping/traveling. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 – 50lbs. May be exposed to blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
