Primary Position Objectives
Directs staff engaged in providing security for the Center. Responsible for effectively planning, developing, implementing, overseeing, and integrating safety and security programs. Ensures departmental programs and standards meet all DOL, PRH, and Center requirements.

Procedures
- Supervises center patrols of buildings and grounds throughout the week to achieve maximum security. This includes, but is not limited to, fires, safety hazards, traffic violations and disturbances.
- Provides security program information to the Center Director and Student Personnel Manager.
- Maintains Center staff automobile sticker system and visitor registration.
- Oversees coordination of Center’s safety and fire prevention programs.
- Establishes liaison and harmonious relations with local law enforcement agencies.
- Provides written and oral reports, briefings, or summaries to appropriate staff.
- Ensures all equipment is properly maintained.
- Holds regularly scheduled staff meetings at least twice each month.
- Develops letter of agreement with local law enforcement to include PRH requirements.
- Provides vehicle checks to entering or exiting traffic.
- Maintains Center vehicles.
- Prepared Departmental Work Schedules.
- Coordinates Center transportation and places priorities on WBL students’ transportation.
- Maintains adequate transportation and general travel services and maintenance of all motor vehicles and equipment.
- Works toward meeting performance management goals.
- Maintains good housekeeping in all areas and complies with safety practices.
- Holds regular staff meetings at least twice a month, document meetings, and submit documentation to Center Director.
- Complies with all DOL guidelines, OFCCP regulation, Job Corps notices and bulletins, and Center policies and procedures.
- Screens and attempts to solve all student problems before referring them to the Center Director or other areas.
- Models, mentors, monitors appropriate Career Success Standards.
- Continual support, and adherence to the CDSS plan and Code of Conduct system which ensures that the ePCDP is used in a timely, continual, and effective manner to help support students.
- Evaluates personnel under his/her management and makes recommendations regarding disciplinary actions, promotions, and/or merit increases
- Participation in PRH mandated staff training is mandatory. Failure to participate may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination
- Ensures a weekly center-wide safety walk thru is conducted and a report sent to the Center Director

Proficiency with advanced Microsoft Office applications including Word, Power Point and Excel.
Minimum of three years security experience, one of which was in a supervisor capacity.
Associates Degree required, Bachelor’s Degree in safety/business management preferred. At least one year in a residential living setting and background in youth programs or law enforcement is preferred. Safety related training preferred. Combination of education and experience may be substituted for degree on a year-for-year basis.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Valid State Driver’s License – Class CDL.
