Job Description:



The Informal Provider Specialist is a role within the Payment Processing

Department that receives, reviews, and determines informal applications

for potential Informal Providers and Customers who request to receive

informal services. The Informal Provider Specialist will review all

initial and renewal applications/ documents and provide outreach to both

the Customer and potential Provider in a courteous and timely manner.

The Specialist is responsible for ensuring that each potential Provider

is well informed of all safety standards and that these standards are

being upheld by the Provider once approved. The efficient utilization of

various software applications is an essential part of this role,

including video meeting systems, telephone systems, Google Workspace

applications and other resources. The Informal Provider Specialist will

enter applicable information into systems and web forms on an

application via computer. All transactions must be conducted accurately,

courteously, and in a timely manner.



Key Tasks



-Make outbound telephone calls and emails in a courteous, timely, and

professional manner.



-Perform research within other systems to resolve email inquiries, such

as identifying a person’s case status and any missing information

associated with their case



-Make all case determinations by each specified determination date.



-Document interactions using the Child Care Information System CCATS.



-Conduct Home Inspections with a keen and attentive eye ensuring that

all safety standards are being met.



-Following established escalation process for customer inquiries

requiring more investigation and/or a higher level of support



-Ensure that all renewal documents are requested promptly and received

by the required renewal dates.



-Utilize departmental knowledge bases and training material to

adequately request missing document and/or document corrections.



-Maintain up-to-date knowledge of policies and procedures as applicable



-Adhere to published schedule according to attendance guidelines



-May be required to work some evenings, weekends, and holidays with

advanced notice



-Perform other duties as assigned



Qualifications and Skills



Education:



-High school diploma or GED required



Experience:



-One-year customer service or case management or informal provider

specialist required



-Knowledge of or experience with accessing multiple database production

systems simultaneously




SKILLS AND ABILITIES



-Must be able to read and speak English clearly, professionally and

fluently.



-Strong attention to detail required for this role



-Ability to read and speak Spanish fluently(optional)



-Intermediate to advanced computer skills



-Excellent listening and human relations skills



-Must be able to organize simultaneous tasks for individual assignments

and understand each task's process or workflow.



-Strong typing and writing abilities



-Ability to respond appropriately to changing situations



-Proven ability to work as a team member
