Job Description Summary | The Security Guard maintains a safe and secure environment for all employees, patients, visitors and physical properties according to policies and procedures. Engage with employees, patients and visitors, create a welcoming environment, respond to inquiries, offer assistance, provide directions, de-escalate situations when necessary, and ensure a positive customer service experience. Patrols and monitors assigned area/site. Inspect buildings and access points across all SCH locations and parking lots as assigned. |

Minimum Qualifications |
NYS certification as Security Guard required. High School Diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of two years security experience highly desirable. Valid New York State Driver’s License. Must have Basic Life Support at the time of hire or within two (2) weeks after hire. Experience with 2-way radio communications preferred. Strong customer-service and verbal and interpersonal communication skills; are required. |

Physical Demands | Ambulatory – 95% Sedentary- 5% Subject to stress and fatigue. Requires manual and finger dexterity and eye hand coordination when working with equipment. Subject to repeated bending, squatting and stooping and lifting up to 50lbs. Requires corrected vision and hearing within normal range. |
