| Required Skills: | QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must possess a current (CDL) Class A and Combination endorsement on drivers’ license.
2. Must have 2 years experience driving semi-trucks and trailers on the road.
3. Must be able to demonstrate skill in operating a semi-truck and trailer.
4. Possess a current health card and be physically qualified to operate a commercial truck.
5. Have and maintain a clean driving record.
6. Must be able to pass drivers’ background check
7. Must be able to pass random drug screening
8. Knowledge of DOT regulations.
9. Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
10. Must demonstrate the ability to maintain good attendance.
11. Possess a strong work ethic
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Lift, carry, push, and/or pull 1-50lbs.
2. Sit, stand, walk, and drive for long periods of time.
3. Squat/kneel, ben/stoop, twist/turn, grasp and reach overhead and outward frequently.
4. Ability to work in all weather conditions.
5. Ability to work in a fast-paced agricultural/industrial environment with proper safety equipment. |
| Preferred Skills: | RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Perform daily pre-trip & post trip inspections of equipment
• Operate and drive a semi-truck safely, lawfully, and professionally to transport materials to local and nationwide customers
• Load and unload truck
• Perform and document weekly maintenance check of vehicle & report any needed repairs
• Interact with customers, vendors, and other employees in a professional manner
• Maintain telephone or radio contact with supervisors to receive delivery instructions
• Complete all required paperwork legibly and have turned into the office on time
• Other duties as assigned |
