Job Description
Lancaster, NY. Sealing Devices, Inc. A-P Specialist.
FT. Benefits. $21.00-$26.00/Hour.
The Accounts Payable Specialist processes invoices, monitors suppliers outstanding balances, and ensures timely payment of invoices. The Accounts Payable Specialist reports to the Director of Finance.
STATEMENT OF WORK:
Receives invoices, credit memos, and debit memos from suppliers and enters invoices into Oracle ERP system.
Reviews unvoiced receipts report daily to determine which incoming invoices are to be matched to purchase orders and are subsequently entered into the system for payment.
Reviews freight charges for possible billing to customer and review invoices for proper sales tax charges.
Interacts with Purchasing department, managers, and vendors to obtain proper approval of payments and to investigate and resolve discrepancies.
Assists in the processing of checks, ACHs, and wire payments to suppliers.
Prepares year-end audit schedules on selected accounts.
Maintains & documents petty cash expenditures and physical custody of petty cash.
Maintains supplier and contractor certificates of insurance in Document Imaging system.
Manages the companys Commercial Credit Card Program
Participates in business-related projects and activities upon request of management.
Adheres to Sealing Devices and the Accounting Departments Code of Ethics and Confidentiality.
Qualifications and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
At least 2 years of job-related experience, or college degree in accounting.
Proficient computer skills with common business applications, including email, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe.
Salary ranges for this position are determined based upon the job location and can be adjusted based upon experience, reflecting our commitment to valuing the expertise and contributions of our individual team members. Salary range for this role is $21.00-$26.00/hr.
