Company Profile:
Since 1970, NW Works has empowered adults with disabilities and individuals with barriers to employment to build skills and secure and sustain meaningful employment. Our organization began as a sheltered workshop with five clients and one employee, fulfilling small jobs for companies like Rubbermaid. But times have changed and so have we.
Today, NW Works has pivoted to focus on community-based work with an emphasis on integration with the general public, as laid-out in the Employment First movement. We have also expanded services to individuals who face non-disability barriers to employment. But our mission to empower adults with disabilities and individuals with barriers to employment to build skills and secure and sustain meaningful employment has remained the same.
We envision a society in which all individuals are treated with dignity and respect, where all people are afforded equal opportunities to meet their goals. We will strive to obtain this through informing, educating, and being a resource for those we serve and partner.
