Job Summary
The Senior ACH Credit Analyst is responsible for spreading financial statements for customers using ACH, analyzing ACH reviews to assess the need for financial statements and spreads, and making decisions around the next step for the review. The Senior ACH Credit Analyst will be the point of contact for Treasury Management Advisors who submit ACH reviews and coordinate with them on the correct documentation for ACH risk management.
Essential Functions
Spread, review, and analyze financial statements for ACH exposure
Determine the appropriate level of underwriting and due diligence for the credit's risk profile
Assist with and ensure timely completion of red flag reviews, annual reviews, new originations, and modification requests and make appropriate recommendations for ACH exposure levels
Assist in ensuring appropriate structuring of new origination and modification requests aligning with Northwest's risk appetite
Assist in identifying credit strengths, weaknesses, risks and mitigating factors and/or trends/anomalies in customer behavior, and investigate suspicious activity
Assist in analyzing and monitoring risk level of ACH portfolio
Assist in determining the appropriate course of action for clients in various ACH queues in Nautilus
Evaluate and decision intraday ACH breaches, as needed
Review and approve within Signature Credit Authority red flag reviews, annual reviews, new originations, modification requests and breach activity for 1,000+ clients and multi-hundred million dollar ACH portfolios
Coordinate with members of compliance, fraud, and operations groups as needed
Assist payments partners, relationship managers, and operations partners with daily management of ACH & Remote Deposit Capture limit breaches, overdraft remediation, and breaches of pre-determined risk metrics/parameters
Assist management in audits and regulatory compliance requirements, as needed
Meet or exceed established service level expectations
Ensure complete data and document integrity
Maintain excellent working knowledge of all software including Signature, nCino, Nautilus, and any others as appropriate
Ensure Northwest's Credit Risk Policy is followed and report any adverse credit-related trends to upper management
Maintain a working knowledge of payments industry trends and regulations including NACHA rules and non-compliance programs
Ensure compliance with Northwest's policies and procedures, and Federal/State regulations
Navigate Microsoft Office Software, computer applications, and software specific to the department in order to maximize technology tools and gain efficiency
Work as part of a team

Education + Experience
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting preferred
6+ years of experience in any of the following areas: commercial lender, small business banker, portfolio manager, or credit analyst preferred
Experience with ACH / Payments preferred
The pay range for this position is generally $36.06 - $48.08 per hour.  Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the successful candidate's experience, skills, and knowledge.  Additional bonus earning opportunities and benefits are also available.
